Description:
Design and develop test cases to cover customer requirements on different applications and using different networking standards. Develop automated scripts for the tests above. Set up the test environment on networking hardware, replicating as best as possible the customer’s setup. Run performance characterization tests to find the best possible solution to address customer’s requests. Work closely with system integrators to set up the working environment and troubleshoot application issues. Coordinate with other QA engineers to improve the quality of the scripts.
Requirements:
 Overall 2+ years experience in QA or networking  Automation experience in Tcl/Expect/Tk, Perl or other scripting languages on Windows/Unix environments  Clear understanding and industry experience of networking standards such as Ethernet, 802.1Q, PPP, DSL, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS and IPv4/v6 Forwarding is highly preferred.  Additional understanding of Layer2/3 implementation structures, layer interfaces, frame formats, media, and devices would be an advantage.  Understanding of Layer 4/7 protocols is a plus.  Good knowledge of routing protocols.  Ability to install, configure & debug networking devices.  Experience in traffic generating and protocol decoding test tools.  Good QA Skills on planning, bug isolation, bug report writing, troubleshooting.  Understanding of software development and QA lifecycle.  CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred  Highly organized and possessing a keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing.  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.  Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.  BS/MS in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
