We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Analyst to join our Sales Operations team. You will report directly to the Sales Operations Manager, working on company projects and assist with all functions of developing SQL queries, design and create custom queries and reports to enhance organizational productivity. You will also work closely with Business analysts, understand the design specifications, and translate the requirements into a reporting solution.
Responsibilities
Development, optimize, and implement queries using SQL language
Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables using Excel (mandatory) and/or Power BI (nice to know) tools
Research the required data
Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
Suggest new queries based on the analysis needs as discussed with the project’s manager
Create and maintain documentation, specifications and data flow diagrams
Provide timely scheduled progress reporting
Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, application developers, and technical staff working in an agile process environment
Requirements
2+ years of experience working with SQL (SELECT, JOIN, UPDATE, etc.)
Very good experience in development, optimization, and implementation of stored procedures
The ability to create fast and efficient database queries, including joining and cross-referencing cells from several tables
Experience in developing reports and dashboards using Excel and/or Power BI tools
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience with Salesforce.com is nice to have
Ability to work in a team environment and be detail oriented
