The Global Inventory & Forecast Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels for all products across various global sales regions. The role involves careful monitoring of product forecasts, management of inventory, proactive identification of discrepancies between actual sales and forecasted demand, and performing detailed data analyses to enhance forecast accuracy.
Responsibilities
Demand Planning:
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to ensure continuous product availability globally.
Analyze historical sales data, trends, market intelligence, and other relevant inputs to inform and refine forecasts.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Product Development teams to align demand planning with business strategies and product launches.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels across global sales regions and maintain sufficient and healthy stock levels to meet customer demand.
Regularly review stock performance metrics to optimize inventory holding costs and turnover rates.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
Closely track actual sales against forecasted numbers and identify significant variances promptly.
Provide timely alerts and insights to internal stakeholders regarding deviations from expected sales performance.
Recommend corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to address forecast inaccuracies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct comprehensive data analyses, including measuring forecast accuracy and identifying improvement areas.
Prepare regular inventory and demand planning reports highlighting key metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, ensuring alignment on inventory and supply chain decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Advertising Specialists and Platform Management to align inventory management with promotional activities and deal events.
Ensure inventory readiness in response to planned marketing initiatives and sales events.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools and Excel.
Experience with demand planning software or inventory management systems.
