As a Principal Engineer for Digital Design, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and quality of complex digital systems-on-chip (SoCs) for memory applications.
Responsibilities
In your new role you will:
Lead a team of digital designers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure successful SoC development
Develop and execute technical strategies for digital IPs and SoC designs including architecture, RTL design, and DFT
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, verification, STA and software teams, to ensure successful SoC development
Develop and mentor complex digital IP blocks, such as processors, peripherals, and interfaces
Utilize industry-standard EDA tools, such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics
Debug and resolve complex design issues, including timing, power, and area optimization
Perform design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring design quality
Drive technical innovation and improvement, stay up to date with industry trends, and new design methodologies
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and junior mentoring within the digital design team to improve team performance

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in digital SoC design, with a focus on RTL design, verification, and implementation
At least 3 years of leadership role, managing teams of digital designers
Experience with industry-standard EDA tools, such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics
Strong understanding of digital design principles, including RTL design, synthesis, and place-and-route
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex design issues
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
