The Agile Coach role requires an individual with demonstrable SAFe delivery experience in a complex project environment. This strong communicator guides the team to develop a fundamental understanding of the agile approach from the top down.
• Evangelise the project-wide agile transformation and guides the team through its agile journey and maturity;
• Defines and refines the project’s agile principles, practices, standards, and ceremonies according to best practices;
• Promotes new ways of working, adopts continuous improvement practices, and defines mechanisms to share information among stakeholders;
• Mentors and coaches all levels of the organisation on agile principles, practices, roles, and ceremonies to maintain consistency of adoption
• Coaches and supports the Scrum Masters to ensure they coach their squads effectively;
• Defines agile adoption measurements and evaluates and reports the performance and adherence of the organisation regularly;
• Acts as a catalyst to seed emerging practices and knowledge from one squad or tribe to another.
• Agile: Understands agile methodologies (Kanban, Lean, Scrum, Scaled Agile) and has a proven track record of applying agile working methods to the delivery of complex programs. They are a role model of the agile mindset and principles.
• Coaching & mentoring: creates a professional relationship to develop others by using coaching, mentoring, feedback, and stretch assignments supporting the company´s learning culture.
• Facilitation: Can apply a range of techniques to support facilitation, training, and teaching to guide and manage a group event to ensure that objectives are met effectively, with clear thinking, good participation and full buy-in from everyone involved.
• Influence: Can take different perspectives into account and convince others to take action using compelling arguments whilst maintaining and building relationships.
• Business partnering: Demonstrates robust understanding of business needs, identifies and prioritises stakeholders, and builds sustainable relationships to drive increased business performance and best-value outcomes.
