Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our global IT team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing system reliability, scalability, and efficiency for both infrastructure and applications.
Take ownership of the existing infrastructure involving complex systems, including application integrity and stability
Train and mentor junior engineers in infrastructure best practices, monitoring approaches, and database optimization techniques
Contribute to the IT R&D lifecycle strategy, providing innovative input for roadmaps and direction
Proactively manage infrastructure performance, bottlenecks, and operations to ensure cost-efficient designs
Plan and execute performance optimizations, reliability improvements, and system scalability for data systems
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture design and operational processes, to ensure alignment across teams
Advance operational excellence by implementing robust monitoring, logging, and incident management solutions
Requirements
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
Educational degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing large, complex infrastructure setups
Expertise in managing databases, both SQL and NoSQL
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and workflows, including Jira, Jenkins, Git and GitLab
Strong knowledge of Linux administration (preferably RedHat) and on-premise/cloud hybrid environments
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash or Python, for task automation; Plus, Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
