Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain e-commerce functionality based on Shopware 6, PHP/Symfony,
Vue 3, Nuxt 3 and TypeScript.
• Implement backend and frontend features within our headless e-commerce architecture.
• Develop and maintain REST API integrations with ERP, PIM and other third-party systems.
• Support the development and maintenance of Shopware plugins and extensions.
• Contribute to the development of new digital applications, online tools and e-commerce
services.
• Analyse bugs and technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and follow agreed development standards.
• Write maintainable, documented and testable code.
• Work with Docker-based development environments and Git-based workflows.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployments together with the development team.
• Contribute to performance, SEO, accessibility and security improvements.
• Cooperate with internal developers and external development partners.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement and estimations.
• Support testing and troubleshooting during releases and platform rollouts.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge and gradually take ownership of larger
development areas.
• Expected focus approximately 70–80% backend and 20–30% frontend, depending on
project requirements.
Education and Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable technical education is
preferred; equivalent practical experience is also acceptable.
• Approximately 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with backend development using PHP 8.x, ideally with Symfony.
• Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
• E-commerce experience is preferred.
• Shopware 6 experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good spoken and written English.
Competencies:
Backend – PHP / Symfony / Shopware
• Good knowledge of PHP 8.x.
• Good understanding of Symfony or comparable PHP frameworks.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and common design patterns.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
• Understanding of database queries, migrations and transactions.
• Shopware 6 experience with plugins, events, DAL, Store API or migrations is a strong
advantage.
Frontend – Vue / Nuxt / TypeScript
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience with Vue.js, preferably Vue 3.
• Knowledge of Nuxt 3 is preferred.
• Understanding of SSR and modern frontend development.
• Experience with REST API-based frontend applications.
• Knowledge of responsive design and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
Development & DevOps:
• Good working knowledge of Git and pull-request workflows.
• Experience with Docker / Docker Compose.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic Linux and web-server knowledge.
• Experience with GitHub Actions is an advantage.
Quality & Security:
• Understanding of automated testing principles.
• Awareness of secure development practices.
• Ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Attention to code quality, maintainability and backward compatibility.
Soft Skills:
