Do you want to work in a highly proficient team and help evolve company’s pre-silicon automation and validation capabilities for next-generation AI / data center networking solutions?
If yes, we would like to tell you more about what we do and can’t wait to meet you.
The project
This role combines two complementary dimensions: (1) strengthening company's internal automation and test coverage for this project and (2) acting as a contingent worker / field-facing engineer supporting a hyperscaler engagement when needed. The internal automation charter focuses on pytest-based testing infrastructure and broader validation coverage for our EDA project comprehending networking features like ECN, PFC, distributed fabric emulation, multi path traffic distribution, and others, focusing on traffic carried over state of the art RDMA transports.
The contingent-worker dimension requires strong technical communication, practical debugging, and the ability to work hands-on in customer-focused integration or validation activities. Work allocation is not expected to be a steady 50/50 split; instead, the role may alternate between concentrated periods fully dedicated to customer-facing work and concentrated periods fully dedicated to internal automation.
Employer Profile
A leading global provider of hardware and software for electronic design, emulation, and testing
The team
You will work in a very talented R&D team, architects, seniors, release owners, validation teams, and external stakeholders in a dynamic pre-silicon environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing deep automation work with practical field execution, can switch contexts effectively, and can represent engineering with clarity and ownership during integration or customer support activities.
Responsibilities
Act as a technically strong contingent worker / field engineer during assigned customer-facing periods, supporting bring-up, integration, validation, troubleshooting, and issue triage.
Contribute directly to the pytest-based automation framework and improve maintainability, execution reliability, and extensibility of the pre-silicon test infrastructure.
Develop and maintain automated coverage for datacenter virtual fabric features such as ECN, PFC, switch support, QoS, impairments, and statistics / telemetry APIs.
Develop and maintain automated coverage for EDA platform scenarios, including multi-NIC, multi-path, PFC-related use cases and others.
Automate and validate deployment and configuration flows, including end-to-end orchestration scenarios across the pre-silicon stack.
Collaborate effectively with internal engineering, external partners, and customer-side engineers to reproduce issues, isolate root causes, and drive next actions.
Document findings clearly, communicate status crisply, and ensure that field learnings are fed back into internal automation and product quality improvements.
Adapt quickly between concentrated blocks of customer-facing work and concentrated blocks of internal automation work based on business priorities.
Requirements
Strong automation skills with Python and Bash.
Good Linux user-level skills for deployment, troubleshooting, log analysis, and effective debugging.
Good networking knowledge and the ability to reason about traffic flows, connectivity, configuration, and observable system behavior.
A strong QA mindset: precise bug reporting, reproducibility, coverage thinking, and concern for quality signal.
Hands-on experience with test automation and a clear understanding of how to convert operational pain points into reusable automated coverage.
Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal teams and external stakeholders in technically demanding situations.
Ability to stay organized while context-switching between customer-facing execution and internal engineering priorities.
Professional maturity, ownership, and a practical problem-solving style suited for field or contingent-worker engagements.
Strong plus for this role
Previous experience as a field engineer, customer-facing engineer, solutions engineer, integration engineer, or contingent worker.
Experience owning or significantly evolving a pytest-based framework or other large-scale automation stack.
Experience supporting Linux and networking-heavy products in customer or partner environments.
Exposure to pre-silicon, virtualized, or emulator-connected environments.
The ability to maintain momentum in ambiguous situations and translate operational challenges into structured engineering follow-up.
Role-specific working model
This position is intentionally designed as a hybrid between internal automation and customer-facing contingent-worker support.
The split is not expected to be a fixed percentage every week. Typical execution may involve concentrated allocation windows, for example several weeks fully dedicated to customer-facing work followed by several weeks fully dedicated to internal automation.
The successful candidate should be comfortable with this rhythm and able to re-enter either mode efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant professional experience in software test automation, systems validation, technical integration, QA automation, or related engineering roles.
Benefits
The company offers an attractive employee benefits package that covers personal and professional development tools, medical subscription for employees and family members, flexible working hours, a competitive salary package based on performance, access to sport activities, and many other benefits.
