Responsibilities

Oversee the performance, stability, and reliability of company’s critical business applications to ensure seamless operations.

Ensure the proper functionality and integration of technical applications with their business interfaces.

Manage incidents and problems across multicultural, virtual teams, third-party software vendors, and company’s hardware providers to minimize business disruption.

Participate in IT projects aimed at optimizing operational costs while maintaining a stable IT environment for business needs.

Handle service requests efficiently to meet business requirements.

Generate comprehensive reports tailored for business departments to support decision-making.

Provide specialized support for clearing processes to resolve business-critical issues.

Support the automation of business processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual dependencies.

Ensure that all project deliveries align with operational and business standards.

Configure and set up application environments to meet business objectives and project requirements.

Perform basic functionality checks on updated software in production environments to ensure business continuity.

Assure infrastructure capacity meets project and operational demands.

Coordinate and manage communication with vendors and partners regarding business-impacting problems and service requests.

Optimize and configure applications and runtime environments in collaboration with solution delivery partners

Maintain high availability and stability of backend systems to support uninterrupted business operations.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of IT application results, working closely with business departments to resolve and reprocess unprocessed data.

Deliverables:

Analyze, resolve, and document incidents and problems in alignment with company’s processes.

Manage incident and problem tickets effectively, coordinating with multiple teams and partners to ensure timely resolution.

Evaluate change requests to assess their application and business impact.

Develop and execute scripts and operational tools to monitor systems and automate error handling.

Proactively manage operations to ensure adherence to SLA limits and avoid breaches.

Maintain a customer-first approach, prioritizing user satisfaction and service quality.

Adapt to and manage changes in the IT environment, ensuring continuity and stability.

Communicate effectively to drive impact, ensuring clarity and alignment across stakeholders.

Requirements

Basic skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Proficiency in Unix and Shell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle databases.
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat technologies.
  • Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic 12c or newer versions.
  • Understanding of HTTP(s) and SSH protocols.
  • Experience with BMC Remedy/ARS for IT service management.
  • Expertise in Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • System analysis skills to effectively diagnose and resolve IT issues.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL concepts and processes.
  • Ability to drive improvements and innovate processes.

Language Requirements: Fluency in both written and spoken English.

 

Mandatory technical/professional qualifications:

Educational Qualification: Graduation degree in technology.

Essential Experience:

  • AIX/HP-UX/Linux at L2 level (including shell scripting and monitoring).
  • SQL/PL SQL at L2 level (scripting and troubleshooting).
  • Oracle WebLogic 12C or higher.
  • Apache Tomcat (including log4j configuration).
  • Understanding of web service methodologies such as SOAP and REST, including testing web service performance.
  • Protocol expertise including IP, TCP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP, and TELNET.

Good-to-Have Skills:

      • Perl at L1 level (basic scripting).
      • Oracle Forms at L1 level (basics).
      • IBM WebSphere MQ Series (basics).
      • Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and OCI.
      • Networking knowledge, including IP addressing, DNS, firewalls, NAT, gateways, proxy servers, load balancers, and email servers.
      • Experience with code repository tools like GitHub.
      • Proficiency with advanced monitoring tools like Datadog and Grafana.

IT Service Management Tools: Experience working with oneITSM (Global Remedy) or TTWOS.
