Vision Network Packet Broker is one of the main SW projects in their Network Visibility and Security portfolio. They are developing an embedded SW stack which allows configuration of their proprietary network monitoring HW, offering visibility across the customers’ enterprise network traffic. Working on this project, you will gain insight in multiple technologies ranging from developing new network monitoring functionalities using Java, enabling and configuring HW devices, creating REST APIs and exposing new features in Web UI developed in an Enterprise Web Application Framework.
The team works with a range of visibility solutions that address an important problem in enterprise networks. Inline security and monitoring tools allow network operators to prevent incidents, inspect encrypted traffic, block bad IPs and more. However, these same security and monitoring tools can become a single point of failure - bringing down the entire network, affecting users and compromising security in the process. Their products provide a fail-safe way to achieve inline security, without compromising uptime or the user experience. From simple taps that replicate traffic from one port to another to iBypass switches and advanced Network Packet Brokers that filter, aggregate, load balance and, most importantly, spot failures in customer network to avoid loss of traffic.
The availability of critical IoT services, as well as offering a swift and reliable resolution to ongoing incidents will be your primary accountability. You will also get actively involved throughout all the application’s lifecycle phases, including development, testing, integration and deployment. Finally, you should expect to play an important role in future planning and features delivery.

You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining and documenting multiple distributed systems, deployed across AWS regions. As a back-office engineer, you will also be proactive with regards to keeping the monitoring up to date and provide proper alerting run books to the front office engineers.
Responsible for all aspects related to the network infrastructure in a Data Center including decision on technology, capacity planning and requirements gathering from the customers matching key network aspects such security, reliability, high availability, load balancing and redundancy. Evolve legacy setups to new and standard network designs and components removing operational risk.
